A well-established M&A boutique with a national reputation in buy-side representation seeks seasoned deal facilitators for our expanding Acquisition Search program. Pro-active and successful buyers retain our services to help them achieve their corporate acquisition goals. Our highly regarded and successful program has put our services in high demand, and we have an immediate need for several additional skilled professionals. We have both existing deal flow to work on and opportunities to initiate new business.

Candidates should have a proven record of initiating, facilitating and closing transactions between business owners and buyers. A working knowledge of financial statements and superior oral and written communication skills are required. The ability to work independently with focused and persistent effort is also necessary. Ideal candidates would include individuals who are retired or semi-retired from careers as M&A professionals (including M&A attorneys), corporate CEOs, CFOs and corporate or business development officers.

Our organization provides the clients, research, acquisition targets, unparalleled support and services to ensure the success of our team. In addition, our infrastructure and systems enable deal professionals to work from remote locations.

Telecommuting is allowed.

Additional Salary Information: Compensation will be dependent upon production in introducing retained search clients to targets with which the clients close transactions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development

  • Build a business development plan of attack to increase Valufinder’s ‘brand’ awareness and expand Valufinder’s market penetration
  • Effectively deliver DealStar presentations and ensure that the following Q&A and discussions are client-focused, address client objectives and generate meaningful dialog
  • Establish relationships with current and prospective clients by effectively understanding their current operating environment and acquisition needs
  • Expand and maintain Valufinder’s client base by developing strategic relationships with key corporate buyers
  • Identify and cultivate prospective clients through participation in strategic trade and industry organizations
  • Participate in the development of sales material and products
  • Negotiate Agreements

Job Description:

Compile information about companies operating in specific industry sectors based upon a given set of criteria. Sources for information include: client provided data, web based searches, industry sites, news, journals, industry association publications, and various searchable business databases. Other sources may be appropriate based upon the industry under review.

Participate on client calls. Prepare professional quality spreadsheets and project summaries for client review.
